Future Events

Single mom with daughter travels with new husband to reservation land. She is mute and plays the piano, which she brings with her to the reservation. Her husband does not have the funds to hold onto the piano himself. The husband's business partner expresses interest in piano lessons and gets started with Ada. Ultimately they fall in love. Ada secretly loves him back but continues to sleep with her original husband. Ada asks her daughter to deliver a secret message to her piano "student" and instead her daughter sends it to the husband. The husband enraged rapes her and then cuts off her finger. The husband then visits George and asks him to take her away. When Ada and George are on a canoe, Ada wants the piano to be thrown overboard. In a sense, it is a death and rebirth for Ada. In her new home, she continues her piano lessons.

The Delos Corporation runs an amusement park in which guests can explore their wildest dreams physically in an entirely engineered world. Guests can visit either West World, Roman World, or Medieval World. The worlds appear like real life to the guests - who pay a thousand dollars a day - but in the background, is run by a team of doctors who manage the robots. The only distinguishing feature of the robots in the robot worlds is their hands. A virus begins to take hold of the robots, making them to act independently. One particular robot chases after the main character. The robot causes destruction to the scientists as well, but in the end the main character saves himself. This movie inspired the TV series of the same name. It was interesting to see how the producers required the killer robot to be burned to a crisp to make it stop. In these artificial intelligence machines, it could be more and more difficult to find the source of the intelligence, if not biological. Great sound effects to sample especially at time 1:12:00. The particular time period that was engineered in the film was 1873-1874. The IT happens from the central control room.

Chris, a farmer, and his wife suffer the loss of their son, who kills himself by alcohol intoxication. Chris, ever since childhood, was raised in a Christian household and he imposes the requirement to go to church onto his son, who is not interested in going to church. This causes a disconnect between father and son. When the son commits suicide, Chris is challenged with coping with the loss. He begins to stop going to church, starts drinking, and has a falling out with his wife. However, with the church, he is asked to continue having faith and to beat the demons of guilt and anger. Much of the movie depicts the loneliness a person suffering a loss feels. Like when Chris goes far out into a field to scream at God for doing this to him. He ultimately gains the courage to move on and pack up his son's things. He attends church where he is asked to feel the touch of God via the Holy Spirit. He goes through the motions of passing out in the ritual but leaves to go to the bathroom during the mass. Does he believe 100%, maybe maybe not. Nontheless, he finds the courage to visit his wife again and ask her to come home. He finds peace with his wife and father and returns to his life as a farmer.

Family of four moves to new neighborhood unknown to the fact that the neighborhood is built on top of a graveyard. Weird things - paranormal things - begin happening in the house. Then the little girl is swept into the closet and into the parallel world with the spirits. Exorcists are called and they explain that the spirits are using the girl to guide them into the light. The exorcists manage to save the girl in the end. Pretty simple movie.

Engineer of missiles loses his job and becomes cynical of the world around him. He loses his patience in traffic, abandons his car and begins to walk through the undeveloped land. He is approached by two hooligans who attempt to steal his briefcase. He is provoked to violence and upon stealing the bat from them he beats them away. The two hooligans then plan to kill the man by doing a drive by shooting. They shoot at him but they miss and instead shoot random civilians. The car with the hooligans crashes and kills one of the hooligans leaving one to observe the man steal the guns and shoot him to death. The man then goes on to use the weapon to express his frustration of the world him. He actually gets the bat from a convenience store which he destroyed because the coke was too expensive. Anyway, the man wants to get back to his daughter. His wife has separated from him and he keeps calling the ex-wife's phone number threatening that he will visit despite her disapproval. He fails to realize that through his cynicism and anger and increasingly more violent actions, he becomes the "bad" guy. The pathway to hell is indeed paved with "good" intensions and in this movie, good intensions being a critic of the world. Good movie of anger.

Jesus begins performing miracles among the people and gains a following. He creates a disturbance at a Jewish temple and becomes a source of agitation to the Jewish authorities. Jesus multiplies food for masses, gives sight to the blind, walks on water, tells a woman about her personal details, turns water into wine, among other miracles. He tells his followers to follow him so that they may know the Father. He has a dinner with all his disciples and says that everyone is clean except one. It is Judas who will betray him. Judas tells of his location to the Jewish authorities. The Jewish authorities take Jesus to Pilot. Pilot, the roman governor, finds no fault in Jesus but the Jewish authorities argue that he is blasphemous to God and to the Emperor. Pilot allows for Jews to crucify Jesus. Jesus is crucified on the cross alongside two others also crucified. One Roman official stabs Jesus in the chest. When Jesus's body is buried, Mary goes to visit him but sees that the tomb is open. She encounters what appears to be a gardener, but actually Jesus very much alive to greet her. She is amazed. Jesus makes an appearance to his other disciples as well. Jesus joins the disciples on a boat to across the sea. Many are witness to this. Love everyone as I have loved you. That is the message of the film and of the Son of God it depicts.

About six hundred years after the death of Christ, Mecca is a bustling city with numerous idols worshiped. One person in particular Mohammed is blessed to hear the word of God and compose the Quran. The Quran slowly gains a following. The teaching preaches God devoid of attributes - no idols. This doesn't please the businessmen of Mecca and so the followers are forced to leave to Medina. In Medina they are accepted and they establish their first Mosque. The people from Mecca fight them. The followers of Mohammed win. Then in another battle the people of Mecca win. In the end there is a truce and the people of Medina return to Mecca and take over the city in a manner that threatens only those with their doors open. Mohammed goes back to the Kabbah and destroys all the idols there and Islam is established as a religion.

Girl avoids being sacrificed in a religious offering and becomes a priestess of God Kemosh. She is captivated by man who teaches her about an invisible God.

Jed Cooper buys cattle and then is captured by nine bandits who take law into their own hands. The bandits claim that Jed stole the cattle and without trail, they sentence him to death and hang him on a tree. Jed is saved by a cowboy. He is brought to the town where the Sheriff deputizes him as a Marshal. Marshal Cooper goes after the lot and one by one captures them. He tries to exonerate the two young boys from the charge but is unsuccessful. He captures five of them and the five are publically executed in a hanging. Cooper forgoes his desire to take justice in his own hands to be a servant of the law. The four remaining bandits attempt to shoot him down but are unsuccessful. Rachel nurses him back to good health. Marshal Cooper then shoots the remaining two and one of them hangs themselves to death. Finally, the movie ends with Marshal picking up his police badge and accepting the warrants from the judge to continue lawfully pursuing the criminals. Cowboy movie.

Two regular dudes from the ghetto smoke enough weed to get to Harvard. One joins the crew team and another falls in love with the University President's daughter. They get As for the first semester, for the second semester they get Fs. So they have to summon their guardian ghost to tell them all the answers. The guardian ghost is a resurrected version of his friend who was burnt to death with a joint lighting his hair on fire. Jamal and Silas are the names of the two friends in Harvard. They develop a weed butter serum which gets everyone at the party high. Overall all the good things happen. Chinese kid gets laid. Prosecutor future law officer learns about the weed and chills out. Jamal gets approval from his girlfriend's father to marry the daughter. Silent guy starts talking again. The two random white girls that banged Silas and Jamal are now the girlfriends of the college professor. No thing never nothing better tongue twister.
